Its affirmative, we have no outside passing game, and no offensive line. How can you gage Ponder when he is running for his life...?

Apparently the Vikings staff does not teach ball security. They are fumbling the game away again! Webb does everything perfect and gets zip.

How do you call NOT scoring an offensive touchdown after 6 quarters of preseason football a "roll". The bar has been set so low for the vikings current re-building era all us purple homers who actually know football cannot not stop laughing at Musgrave's pathetic coaching. Worst of all, the "dink & dunk" offensive scheme the vikings love so much will be their undoing all season long.

@tobyg32 - Don't blame the players! You can't gage a thing when the purple have ZERO talent in the front office and an even worse coaching staff. It all starts in the front office

This is preseason, so it isn't the end of the world. My only comment is how anyone actually thought that the Vikes were going to have the talent put together for a playoff run in the very tough North Division is beyond me. The Vikes just haven't added any real talent. McNabb is definitley about a 50% reduction in the talent level at QB from Favre and Ponder isn't even close to running a Pro Team. With the O-line the Vikes have he might end up hurt anyway. The Defense still can't get to the QB. These are all the same things the team couldn't do last year. Nothing has changed. Seattle is lucky to play in the West, they do have a chance in that Division to make the playoffs, but the Vikes talent level just isn't there for them to make a playoff run in the North Division. The Purple Nation needs to wake up and realize that this year could get ugly with this O-line, this QB, the lack of Defensive Pressure and playing in the tough North Division.

From the sound of these comments, I guess the Vikings lost the game.

Gauge not gage.

Remember, I said it first, 11 (losses) in '11. The team did not improve over last season and only got a year old, all the while losing a couple of starters. And to think many posters thought Ray Edwards and McKinnie were bad. Charlie Johnson is a failure of epic proportions and Robinson, though being a decent pass-rusher, will never come close to Edwards in stopping the run.

I thought they played a good game, for a pre-season game.

Hate me now, call me right later. Seven and nine, 7-9 season is the outlook for this team. The defense is continuing its downhill trend, The offensive-line is not any better than last year and the strib is already backing the their play. Outplayed, out-coached,and out-talented, yep that decribes almost every year of the vikings' existence.
