When a guy who coached a team that rushed for 300 yards against you last year has ideas about changes in the defense, you'd better listen. When he's your new head coach--you'd better do everything he says. No other team in U.S. has a head coach with more credibility on what needs to be changed--all the others that kicked your butt will tell you "don't change a thing."

agreed, glenlivet. and, to add to your comment, any coaching staff that would AGREE to come and coach the team they trounced the year before, well, they must have seen SOMEthing that they think they can turn around. like, "geez, if that team had just done x, y and z, they may have beaten us". doesn't say much for brewster, of course, that a staff that trounced his team thinks they can turn that same team around. but it's a hopeful sign for gophers fans.

Well, I'm sure the pay bump had something to do with coming here.... But beyond that, Kill strikes me as knowing exactly what he wants. Saw him in action at practice twice so far, and I'm very impressed by him and his staff. We'll see how that translates to immediate improvement, but I find great comfort in knowing that we won't be seeing the sloppy mistakes over and over that we've seen here recently. They may happen - they ARE kids - but those kids will be replaced in a heartbeat, sitting on the bench thinking about what they did for a while, no matter who they are.
