The running back's introduction to the NFL wasn't easy, but he enters Year 2 more confident.

Knock em dead kid!

Toby did look quicker. The Vikes aren't going to be as bad as the negative fans an packer fans say. The Bears will sag and people will take the Lions more serious this year.

Eh', I think we should have drafted a potential starter at DB or lineman with that 2nd rounder instead for a backup RB.

Even though I'm a huge fan of what Peterson brings to every play, imagine having him and Gerhart out there on 2nd and short... I'm pretty most defenses are not looking forward to that combo attack.

The article doesn't say it, but even by the end of last year Gerhart was looking much better than he did early in the season. He put up some decent yardage totals against the Bears and the Bills and in general was running with more confidence. I also think he'll be pretty good catching passes as time goes along. Given how much we are going to depend on Peterson this year, I feel good about having Gerhart (and Booker) coming in to offer him a breather whenever needed.

Now, I just want to see Toby run over Clay Matthews.

I still like Booker as the 2nd guy. I would like to see Gerhart soley as a short yardage power back. If he could learn to block with authority then I wouldn't mind seeing him as an every down run-blocking fullback.

zentasiaAug. 15, 1110:49 PM

Are you kidding me? He seems like a nice guy, but he was a waste of a 2nd round pick. He is a power back that dances in the hole and tries to "pick" a hole. Power backs create holes... Csbennett is right on, his future is as a blocking fullback that can catch a pass once in a while or pickup a short third down, but that is only if he learns to block hard and quite being a soft ballerina....he has no grit at all.

Put ap and gerhart on the field at the same time more often.

randalmossAug. 15, 1111:16 PM

Booker is good at returning punts or kickoffs, not rugged for a backup he can get yards but doesn't really have the speed to really burn anyone just a gritty back but not a threat.
