As Revere did very well again tonight in the lead off position, he indirectly showed that Gardenhire has lost it. He was going to have Span lead off after Span's very poor offense and defense since has come back. Gardenhire needs to manage the players on how they are doing or he needs to go fishing for a few years.

How do we replace DY's right handed bat? With another slapper?

According to MLBTradeRumors, the Twins have signed Micheal and both supplemental first rounders. Be nice if the STrib could be bothered to report it.

"Revere was Mr. Excitement again on Monday." ... Revere has a chance to be the 2nd OFer in Twins history to get 200 PAs and have both a sub-.300 OBP and sub-.300 SLG. Exciting!

forgot to mention revere's misplay of a routine liner that lead to runners at 2nd and 3rd in the early going... Also - for those that are wondering - Gardy adheres (wrongly) to the same line Denny Green used to use - "You don't stop being a starter because of injury, you come back - it's still your job"

sure glad we got Levi (Matt Tolbert) Chapman signed... whew, was worried that no-hitting utility player would get away... another wasted 1st round pick by this front office...

It would be nice to actually draft and sign a power hitting first baseman or outfielder instead of utility infielders or pitch to contact pitchers. The Twins' top draft picks since BS got here have been abysmal- Shooter Hunt will never get a sniff of the bigs, Carlos Guiterrez is a train wreck, ditto Alex Wimmers who at best is a Slowey-Blackburn-Baker clone without their control, Gipson who is looking at Tommy John surgery and was taken in the 1st round despite arm and shoulder problems in college, etc. Smith has proven as ineffective in the draft as he is making trades. Twins end up with, after the smoke clears, Jim Hoey for J. Santana and a kid from Edina, Minnesota with an ERA around 5 in the low minors for Matt Garza and Jason Bartlett. Nice work Buffet Bill!

Why did the Twins pay well over the standard rate for their picks? Guess they must have a lot of cash left over after signing Mauer for $23m a season. Seriously, save some cash and field a quality team!

@mac...both their supplemantal picks were kids that could have been 1st round but teams were shy about drafting them because they were commited to big time college teams and would be tough to sign. Thats why the Twins had to pay over slot to get them. We should all be thrilled that Harrison and Boyd signed. Huge potential for both.
