Given how long Kahn waited to begin the search it is a surprisingly strong group of candidates. Adelman would be the best choice, IMO, but Mitchell would be a solid choice. Not only did he win NBA coach of the year, but the Raptors improved significantly when he became the coach and then dropped off precipitously after he was fired. Nelson would be fun for a couple of years, but what happens after that?

We need defense, thus Nelson would not be the best fit. Woodson would be my front-runner, good record, actually a solid chance he'd take the job, and he's done the young team before. 2nd choice would be Porter, I dismiss the PHX fiasco b/c he was fired for emphasizing defense to much. Suns play at 90% offense, 10% defense, they'd be better off if they'd go 60-40, or even 70-30.

Taylor will you please fire Kahnny boy. True he is a good axe man and a bargain hunter to get your payroll down to little or nothing. But watch your gate receipts. Can anyone say empty stadium.

Adelman has a lot in common with Wolves fans...no interest in the team.

Only three of these coaches have an above 500 win loss ratio. I think these three should be the only choices.

If Taylor fires Kahn, then we know he is starting to take his ownership of the Wolves seriously. Mr. Taylor, we all make mistakes, but it isn't until we recognize them that we can actually start to address them and move forward. Kahn is an embarrassment and he is an arrogant embarrassment at that. Don't care who they hire, as long as Kahn has any type of say in the organization, the chances for success are Zero.

Kahn says the Wolves are done changing the roster over. Brown has always wanted to remake his teams after they lose a few games. If you don't give Brown the GM role along with the coaching job how does it work?

My choices in order of preference; Adleman, Don Nelson, Larry Brown, Woodson. PLEASE, not Sam Mitchell or Porter.

here's a prediction: taylor will hire the cheapest coach. doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. here's to hoping he pleasantly surprises me with nellie or adleman, since our young team is built to run.
