Admittedly rusty, tight end Kyle Rudolph has the chance to stand out among 2011 draftees.

Yea, I share the sentiments of other people....I knew when they drafted this guy that he was for real. On top of that, Its a position where a rookie can come in and start. Thats kinda common with TE's. The only reason you cant start is if you cant block or dont get a blcoking scheme. He'll get many reps this year in games and be a starter next year if not this one.

Rudolph is the real deal, he will probably be their only 2011 draft pick that will play in all 16 games this seaqson. Skol Rudolph!

He will do well. You can always teach a guy to block.

Good to hear! If Shank is temporarily side-lined, let's hope he heals completely - before he starts playing again. A hamstring has the potential to be an on-going, nagging injury, if it doesn't heal 100%. Besides, there's still Kleinsasser (who operates below radar), and he has good hands, along with blocking. GO VIKINGS!!!

Statistically speaking I guess it would be nearly impossible for the Vikings to strike out on all their draft picks. Way to go Rick Speilman. I think their average is about 2 good picks and the rest of them are wasted.

It will be hard to keep 4 tight ends. Looks like Duggan or Klein will go. Sad in a way, but the beat goes on.

The Vikings are planning on keeping only 5 receivers. With multiple TE sets, could the Vikings be planning on keeping all 4 TE's??

Is it me, or does Judd seem to be overly pessimistic about Charlie Johnson at LT ever since the man got here? The guy started in Indy for several years. The Colts were always great. Was he/is he/can he really be that bad? I don't really know, I'm asking for feedback-- what I read elsewhere about the guy's resume, and what Judd says about him, seem to come from different places. Any thoughts?
