From a coach making his Minnesota debut to a quarterback taking over the offensive reins, the Gophers opened practice with a getting-to-know-you vibe.

At least postgame interviews will be interesting. No Gardy-speak excuses like, "we're scufflin' a littl bit, the guys are playin' they're tail off, they're gettin' after it, it's a marathon not a sprint." Kill won't shove anyone under the bus and he will not have a penthouse and a doghouse and he will hold everyone accountable, including his staff. Whodathunk the Gophers and Lynx would be more interesting in August and better run than the Twins.

Hey goldteamtool - Please help me out. Are you 12, and no one likes you, so you have lots of time on your hands? Or are you older, unemployed, and no one likes you, so you have lots of time on your hands? I will expect a reply within 30 seconds. Thanks!

Why is Quentin Gardner listed as a running back? Is this correct? Wasn't he recruited was a wide receiver? Isn't that an area of need for this team?

At least Kill is staying honest and realistic and nice to see compliments from the players. I'm sure things are looking up, and optimisic, but reality is likely to set in, in a few weeks. I see them winning some games though, especially if they get the receivers going.

I can't wait to see the Badgers run all over this so called "NEW" team. Unless they picked up several stud walk ons the Golden Rodents will be lucky to play once again in the Insight (Toilet) Bowl. Meanwhile the Badgers will be Rose Bowl bound again or perhaps a BCS title is in store. Yes theyre that good and currently ranked 10th in the country which is a bit low. Gophs better enjoy the "NEW" feeling now while it lasts as soon as they go 2-6 the Thrill will be gone and back with the same old same old!

BADgers says it all. With Alfred E "What-me worry?" Walker at the helm,Sconnie will be dropping footbal,'cause the Kochs need that money more than some public university does. Sconnie's down the tubes,LOL.
