The one thing I see differently between then and now is the difference in the two coaches. Coach Kill seems to be a more straight forward, hard-working less talk and has amore hard work on the field attitude. I hope that Coach Kill has a successful career at Minnesota.

No doubt he'll get a lot out of his teams - and I don't doubt that they'll be in the dogfights to the end - but the reality is that the Big Ten is one tough conference this year. There are 3-4 teams touted as top ten this year who each plan to be National Champs, and most of the rest are in the top 25... The coach can mold a team ten times better than the one last year and still only get 4 wins in this conference this year. I hope they do better than that, but we shouldn't consider 4 wins a failure in 2011.

Thank goodness the Brew era is over. This is the most I've looked forward to a season since the 04, 05 teams (ok they where let downs but there was reason to think they would be in contention). Fresh start with a good coach and staff, I'll take 4-6 wins and a improving program. Fingers crossed............

I'm also excited for the season to start. Coach Kill and his staff will have a lot of work to do, but I'm looking forward to seeing the material progress made this fall.

Well at the very least we are going to see a team scrapping and fighting to win games and not losing by stupid errors and inferior coaching. I dont doubt the gophers are going to lose a few games, probably most of them, but to see a gopher team play hard and represent minnesota the right way, instead of a total embarrassment, is something to be proud of.

The Gophers will have a winning program when they join the MAC, they are not Big Ten material, just look at the record since 67, when then they tied with Ind and Purdue

Thing to watch #6: Kill's team will play offensive/defensive schemes that can actually be identified, as opposed to his stellar counterpart, Orlando.

1. Settle on an offensive line 2. Settle on the eight man defensive line rotation. 3. Who is the Middle linebacker? 4. Who are the shut down corners? 5. Who has the back end of the defense.
