Barack Obama must wonder sometimes if his luck has run out. Maybe he used it all up in 2008.

Actually, far more often than not, a leader should know he's doing well when the extremist on either side are after him with torches and pitchforks. Just take the recent debt ceiling debacle. The S&P stated clearly that reasons for the downgrade were (1) the prolonged controversy over raising the debt ceiling, (2) the growth in public spending, and (3) the failure to reach an agreement on raising revenues. Recall that Obama's and several other people's earlier attempt at compromise hit on exactly the same broad approach and not just one or the other about which the mindless ideologues were adamant. World-renowned psychologists report a new phenomenon among many Americans. Evidently they will salivate automatically when they hear the words “no new taxes” or even more so with “ cut taxes more.” Some researchers find that the salivation is even more intense than when the subjects view a picture of a large burger and serving of french fries.

How long does a president have to be in office before the mistakes being made are attributed to him instead of his predecessor? "I have to admit, I didn't know how steep the climb was going to be." Really? Maybe that is because it was YOU who didn't have any worthwhile experience, not Sarah.

Barack Obama pressured S&P not to release any news about a potential credit rating downgrade earlier this year. Obama knew FULL WELL this was coming as a result of HIS spending. He did not care. He whined and moaned like a little baby that he wanted a $2.5 TRILLION increase in the debt ceiling so he could SPEND SPEND SPEND to BUY VOTES ahead of next year's election. Obama has PROVEN that he cares morea about HIMSELF than the good of the country. He knows his voters are not going to turn out in full force unless they get some FREE stuff like FREE AIR CONDITIONERS and FREE CELL PHONES (yes, this is true) from the government. Obama does NOT care if the USA goes over the cliff as long as he gets power.

Obama is going to make a mad dash toward the right, trying to persuade people he is a centralist. Good luck with that, the Marxists will not be happy and conservatives will not believe he is being truthful. Bill Clinton pulled the move to center act perfectly, but only Slick Willie could pull that off.

"Recall that Obama's and several other people's earlier attempt at compromise hit on exactly the same broad approach and not just one or the other about which the mindless ideologues were adamant."------ Obamas attempt at earlier compromise> Hmmm, I seem to have forgotten or overlooked the location of the bill that Obama put forth containing those compromises. Could you possibly give me a link where I can read them over again? And not the 97-0 one. The REAL one you are implying he had for us to peruse.

Obama is shackeled by his own ignorance of economics, politics and common sense. Reagan had it all with a concrete basic philosophy and a lot of back bone. He worked on it for decades, Obama is worst then a rank amateur, he is a fool blown full of confidence. A ship with no sail or compass. But then we need a Jimmy Carter every few decades to teach us a lesson.

"The shock of the first credit downgrade in U.S. history," should rest on the shoulders of the Teapublicans, not President Obama.

I don't see R. Reagan as any sort of political hero. My understanding is that he is the one who started all of this "don't tax the wealthy" bit, which years down the road contributed to at least some to the problems we have now. Plus, I have a feeling there were be more than a few surprises in the 2012 elections, for both parties.

Hope hope this country can survive a few more months of Obama's disasterous policies. He needs to go ASAP.

President Obama is such an abysmal failure that even he isn't sure if he is going to vote for himself in 2012.
