McKinnie jettisoned by Vikings

The Vikings' tolerance of left tackle Bryant McKinnie ended Tuesday when they released him for being out of shape.

Hope this sends a message that the Col. couldn't really demand. Sidney, ya shoulda waited around for this, instead of opting for T-Jack's passes or his attempt at passing. Catch your breath and back to the huddle.

McKinnie played very, very small. The Bears scouting report on him last season said that he "had no footwork and did not finish his blocks" which clearly translates to he's got no technique and he's lazy. His play poster was the Bears game last season when rookie DE Wooten ran around him virtually untouched and planted Favre face down in the dirt from behind - ending his career. Vikes QB have a chance to remain healthy without McKinnie at LT, and the locker room is greatly improved without his love boat, pro bowl drop-out gangsta bad attitude around any more.
