A split series vs the #1 AL West team is not a bad way to start this road trip!

Does anyone think the Mets would trade Jose Reyes for Nishioka, straight up??

How many pop fly outs does it take for Valencia to pull his head out? I guess Danny doesn't do situational hitting. Why is Nishi swinging at the first pitch with two outs and the bases loaded when a walk, wild pitch or passed ball scores a run? Is it because he's swinging such a hot bat? Very winnable game. Valencia earns goat honors with pop fly outs in every at bat and an error that erased all hope.

Watchin' ol double-pump Valencia continue his defensive woes at third base, in addition to the same old pull-happy approach offensively, and it occurs that he will never be as good a player as Mark Teahan. Hope the Twins can get a third base prospect in any trade.

3-1 vs. KC; 2-2 vs. Cle; 1-3 vs. Det; 2-2 vs. Tex...add it up folks, 8-8 since the break and STILL 6 games out. No matter if we win 3 straight in Oak, this roster should see some major changes come a week from tues at LAA.

I am already bracing myself for the following from Smith: "The Twins talked with a lot of other teams but we just weren't able to find a good fit for our needs, We still feel that with all our guys healthy and contributing we have as good a chance as anyone." Who wants to bet?

How did Nishi win a batting title anywhere? Looks like a child playing a mans game. Maybe a little stint in Rochester would get him to settle down at the plate. Although he seems a little better in the field these days.

Ok it's official, I've had it with Nishioka. I tried to give him the benefit of a doubt, but with the bases loaded he kills the rally on the first pitch. Cut your losses and let him walk
