So is the coach going to pick him up from the airport personally? Will he have the owners private jet? Live coverage of his plane arriving? Just wouldn't be Minnesota to not roll the red carpet out for the guy. A precedent has been set you know!

I would never have paid that much to a free agent with one good year under his belt. Maybe that's the reality of today's game...but I don't fault the Vikings for letting Rice go at that price. He may be getting lots of cash, but who's gonna be getting the ball to him?

Good riddance Mr. Rice! I have always been a supporter of you. I always thought that you had a lot of talent, even when my friends told me otherwise. My problem with you started last off season when you knew that your hip needed attention. Instead of getting off season surgery and being 100% going in to training camp, you decide to try and heal naturally. That was the beginning of the end last year. Thanks for putting your team first and not yourself. People like you are not what we need on the team. Good luck in Seattle with Mr. Jackson.

Rice refused surgery because he wanted a new contract. He would've had surgery sooner last year had the Vikes redone his contract. Had Favre committed late Spring or early Summer the Vikes could've used extra bonus money (instead of wasting the extra $6 Million last minute on the 'diva') to sign both Rice and AP to new contracts and Sidney would've had the surgery. I still think Seattle overpaid, but the tactic of waiting hand and foot on Farve left a bad taste in a lot of mouths in that locker room and we'll be lucky if we can keep AP. I really hope Fazier can impress AP enough to keep him around after this year.

WEBB TO RECEIVER!!!! Please keep Bomar and move Webb to receiver. It would be a MASSIVE waste to try and develop the best 'leaper' in the league with hands the size of hubcaps into a ho-hum QB when he has all the tools to be one of the leagues best WRs. Webb is a gamer, no doubt, and his skills can be used in punt returns, kickoffs, and so much more than sitting on a bench behind both D-Mac and Ponder.

Dang it. Hate to see him go, but I wouldn't pay what they did with a 121 million cap.

We need to do something at wideout.. the Ravens let Mason go, is he still out there? Bring back Moss too. And, Berrian has to go!

It's hard to say on the Rice move. He had one great season, but in reality, he's either been hur or ineffective most of his career.
