The Twins got a quality start from Brian Duensing and have a chance to win the series after a horrendous start.

I can't even believe it is the same ball club that got obliterated on Monday night.

This team is completely schizophrenic. You never know which personality is going to show up. That said, nice win all around.

yeah nice win. Hope Casilla is alright. As weird as it sounds, he's one of our better players now.

@edina2008 I think I understand your frustration about Joe. He's huge. Big enough to have power. My gosh probably the biggest catcher I've ever seen. Maybe that's the probl. Catching "zaps" his strenghth. Just a thought.

A lot of it was about Duensing tonight.

this talk about being sellers is ridiculous. You should never be sellers if you are within ten games, and you shoudl probably be buyers. Think of all those years the Twins didnt buy to save prospects. Where are all those prospects now? The future is always now, unless you are double figure games out.

not at all surprising. twins have 9 against cleveland and 9 against detroit, are actually still in contention. brutal schedule from august 8-21, cleveland detroit new york and boston, a good time to play their best baseball of the year.

I don't think a decision to be "sellers" at the trade deadline would rise or fall on the basis of 20-6 pasting the week before the deadline. As Texas now realizes winning 900-0 still only counts as one win. This could very well be a year when the AL Central goes for 85 wins. Anyhow back to back wins in the Texas heat is more exciting than seeing the Vikings sign another veteran quarterback with a "brilliant future behind him" to play in the mouldy Metrodome.

It is great to have Kubel back. Now I just wish we could get Span back soon and Morneau sometime in August. It would make the games interesting and fun. It is a big mountain still and the Twins need to keep an eye on the future as they also try to support this years team.
