Small moments, with their shots of stinging truth, make this film funny, authentic and sure to win your heart.

Where are all the commenters who went bonkers about Friends With Benefits?

A cheaply funny, bland, forgettable comedy that offers little insight into divorce or the end of relationships.

Personally, I think Colin Covert gets paid to write 'good' reviews of movies rather than realistic reviews of movies. I haven't seen this movie but laughed when I saw the positive headlines of the review. Based on other 'horrible' movies I've seen which Colin Covert had reviewed as 'good' movies, I wouldn't put much trust in this review. This may be a good movie or it may be a bad movie but don't trust this movie reviewer to tell you the truth.

Another gem from that multi-faceted, brilliant actor Steve Carrell. How do guys like him and Will Ferrell, who play the same character over and over and over again continue to get jobs?

@Morg: Probably the same way Laurel & Hardy, the Marx Brothers, and Abbott & Costello, John Belushi, Dan Akroyd, Bill Murray, Cary Grant, Jimmy Stewart, Bette Davis, Marylin Monroe, John Wayne (and many more) kept getting work.

Cmon Snarkhunter In the OLD DAYS there was just a few choices and the studios decided what we should see. Today, we have tons of choices and while I respect those that like Will and Steve, I think they can only do vulgar, sophmoric jokes. But, if that's what a person likes than that's the movie they should see. However, why not just rent a video of a previous movie?

This movie is really good. I think it will appeal to young and old, male and female. It's both funny and sad and it hits home a bit too hard. There are plenty of surprises!

I never go to the movies. I might go see this one.

It does seem Strib gives good reviews to less than average movies; than again we are in the midwest and what goes as art or entertainment is more loosely defined. Maybe fresher reviewers would help?
