Actually U2 have been trying to get to the Twin Cities for a few years now, but sadly both the Metrodome and The X are indoor facilities and were ruled out. Open air arenas are required for U2 concerts because Bono's ego can not possibly fit into indoor concert venues.

Well, finally something worth seeing at the University football stadium......the football games certainly aren't worth going to see.

Did the concert finish before the rains came down? It's raining pretty heavily now ... in the downtown area at 10.20pm Saturday. Hope everyone enjoyed the concert.

I hear they use 100 semi-trailers to move their stuff around the country/world. Not very green...

No booze? Ya right. I was on the stadium floor and you couldn't take a step without kicking an empty booze bottle. They did a terrible job with crowd control down there and it was like a 15,000 person mosh pit. Great time though!

I could hear the concert near east side of Lake Harriet.
