Once the NFL lockout is over, the Vikings will have only days to settle salary cap and roster questions that usually take teams months to decide.

Why would any sane man want to play QB for the Vikings when you have 2 stiffs like Mckennie and Loadholt letting Favre get clobbered on almost every play last year?

purplegodJul. 20, 11 9:22 PM

Rice is gone for sure and so is Edwards, nothing the vikings do in free agency will help this club which is basically in a fre-fall inregards to where they were two years ago before they choked in New Orleans in the 2010 NFC Championship game. That was the pinnacle of this current squad and it is all down hill from here while the vikings start over (again) just like they do every five years. All us homers know this will be a 5-11 season so their is no need to BS all of us and give us false hope for the 51st year and counting!!!

If the purple's "Blitz back into business" is as bad as their defensive blitz last season under Frazier this squad is facing a 3-13 season for sure!!!

Your kidding yourself if you don't think teams & players don't already have a good idea of what is going to happen once the contract is settled. They will have less time but it's not like they are starting from scratch, regardless of whether they are suppose to talk about things before the contract is settled we all know it is happening behind the scenes to some extent. The Vikings had a poor draft in my opinion, went out on a limb for a QB they probably could of picked up in the second round. They clearly should of took the best player on the board and tried to trade if anything. The Vikes have a ton of needs but long term they need to find a solid QB and get some WR's that can make plays and already start to think about a RB replacement for AP. Can't have too much depth.

don't get to hyped out on sidney rice. he showed us last year whena he took his own sweet time to come back and play. he was mediocre at best.let him and berrian both go. Focus on O line and defence.

with all the negative coments from the people in minesota about the owner, the stadium, and the team, cant wait until they move and get a more positive fan base to root with!

purplegodJul. 20, 1111:02 PM

VIKEVSTWINS - Winning a Super Bowl is the ONLY thing that will end all the negativity. We are tired of losing and being left out of the Super bowl parades year after year after year after year. We will no longer worship at the alter of losing and and will no longer be satisfied with "getting into the playoffs" if their is NO Super Bowl victory. Winning it all is the ONLY thing that will finally bury the "purple jinx" once and for all!!!

tobyg32Jul. 20, 1111:16 PM

Only one of 32 teams get's to win the super bowl. These players decimate there bodies for a living and work there tails off, yet some of you (purplegod) sit behind your computer and do nothing but bad mouth the players. If you want to see how tough it really is to play pro ball then go try out for the team and see where you land. Which will most likely be on your back side and looking through your ear hole.........

Poor decisions made in the past, always come back to haunt you and that's where the Vikings are at. I will continue to support the Vikings and try to remain positive, but it's tough when fans go through the same results year after year. We need to look closer at the successful teams and learn what makes them consistent winners!

Farve was a stiff who couldn't move at all and you forget what a bad coach chilly was. The vikes will be fine and back in the playoffs with the best running game in the league. Packers won't even make the playoffs. The Bears,Lions and Vikes will each beat them twice,6 losses right there.
