Not thrilled we're throwing someone out there in such an important series but maybe they haven't seen him and it will work out fine-we usually have problems with guys just called up.

Thome gets up and maybe he strikes out and maybe, just maybe, like today, he hits one just like he did 595 other times. His statement afterwards was touching:"Anytime you hit a ball that far, it's always special, that feeling you kind of want to last forever." Amen, Jim. Amen

don't want to disappoint but hit tracker measured that blast at 464 feet. Hit tracker uses physics rather than a chart.

It is great to see Jim Thome play. What a contrast to the likes of Roger the Dodger, A-Rod and the others who disgrace the wonderful game of baseball.
