I agree. That is hilarious. Mauer is an overpaid slug.

"Bert Blyleven was inducted into the Twins' Hall of Fame Saturday." Does the STrib have no fact-checkers? Bert was inducted into the Twins Hall of Fame in 2002. On Saturday, they retired his number.

Bert is getting in because of a loooooong career so am not surprised he'd come up with a loooooooong speech. It'd be more meaningful if he'd ever competed for the Cy Young at least once or been named to more than 2 all-star team. He doesn't deserve this.

moretwoit.... if you don't like Bert why don't you just say so? You list two items that he didn't acomplish in his career and use those as a means to bar him from the hall. Just as your moniker implies there is "moretwoit"; Bert "be home" By eleven was; 5th all time in strikeouts, 27th all time in victories, 9th all time in shutouts, earned 1 no-hitter and was the AL strikeout Champ once while being the runnerup on 3 occaisions. You imply that he got in because of a "looooooong" career, well moretwoit, I know of few guys, if any that got in by playing 10 seasons or less. That he played a long time is a testament to his strength as a player. Believe me, if he wasn't good, he would never have lasted so "looooooong" moretwoit, your critique is severely lacking, in fact, there is "nothingtoit".... good day.

Not looking for the Stark aqrticle. I can't get Sid's article. All I get is Bert's and Tony's photo and the comments section. Thanks anyway. I'm sure it's mostly a replay of yesterday's radio show, but there may be something I missed while in church.
