Anyone suprised? They wasted almost 2 months just agreeing on how much money the state spent in 2009-10. When you add the lies and political posturing and childish "my way or no way" this is what we get. Remember this in 2012.

Who's causing the shutdown? Clearly GOP. All the freshmen GOP are clueless that the longer this shutdown goes on, the more their heads are on a chopping block come election time---just like their buddy Craavack. Gov. Dayton has shown nothing but class and compromise. Can't say the same for GOP.

This is the end of the GOP/Tea Party. Proof that they are nothing more than Norquist loving liars. Can you be any more selfish? No.

So they made a deal and they can't deliver the votes to pass it? And their members are acting like babies throwing tantrums at the negotiating table? What a joke!

I agree with the republicans. Dayton needs to give alot more if he wants to compromise. This latest attempt still hands over everything to the libs. NO MORE HANDOUTS OF OUR TAXDOLLARS TO THE TAX AND SPEND DEMS.

The people are watching. The governor has done his part. If the shutdown continues, it will be on the GOP heads and I pity any of them that would dare run for reelection.

First piece of good news I have heard since "the deal" was announced. Democrate and Republican alike should be running from this proposal. To call this a budget is ridiculous...what budget (besides that of government) calls not paying obligations to public school and borrowing from yet to be recieved tobaco payments a revenue increase worthy of balancing a budget. This is nothing more than accounting tricks to kick the can down the road to the next legislative showdown. Focus on reducing spending and cutting cost like the people who voted you into office have to do.
