Wow, I don't know how else to put the way im feeling besides torn. Part of me would love to see Nelson, the coach with the most wins in nba history, coaching the wolves. He has experience and smarts. The other part of me is asking does he really have what it takes at 71 to be an effective coach in the league. Flying all over the country, dealing with the players, everything that comes with the season. It makes me even more nervous that Kahn is the one who is making the decision.

I think this would be a good move. This team needs to build up to a .500 team in the worst way. Just one playoff appearance in the next 3-4 years would be considered a huge success. Nelson has taken some really terrible teams and built them to playoff level teams. No he probably won't win any championships but a .500 season would feel like a championship here. Some might think an older guy couldn't relate with younger players but I think you'd be surprised how well it could work. Look at what hubie brown did at the same age. Still a fantastic coach, and so is nelson.

Do it! Even if he's only here for a few years, he can bring a new mentality to failing franchise that may continue even after he is gone.

I'm fine with Nellie. Don't think he's known for defense, but he can attract assistants who have ability in coaching defense. Most importantly, he will take no crap from Kahn. If Nellie fails here, it's all on Kahn. Kahn has no one else to blame.

would not be opposed to hiring nelly. Love his offensive philosophies. But he would also have to bring some good defensive coaches as assistants. Wolves need to get better at D. Kahn would also need to acquire some defensive centers that could run if Nelly is hired. Peck and Darko would not work with Nelly.

Anyone who can take a team with Fred roberts, Paul mokeski, and randy breuer to the playoffs can't be too bad.

LOL, a .500 season would feel like a championship? That is not true. I think Nelson would be okay, our team is pretty good and got a lot better so far this offseason. He could get us to .500 next year if things worked out right. I would give him a 3 year contract and tell him to win now.

I will get onboard with Nelson if they can bring on Dave Joerger as a top assistant.

Who will you get better? It's a no brainer. Hire him as quickly as possible and pair him up with two loyal assistants and this team is going places. If you disagree ask yourself when was the last time you were this excited about the Wolves? Garnett and the Western Conference Championship. This team will be in the playoffs in 2 years and have the potential to be a 50 win team in 2 years and play in meaningful playoff games. Rubio is a big question mark for me. If he can knock his jumper down and not be a liability on D he will be successful. Go Wolves! Kahn you're still a tool and have a long way to go.

don't do it!!!!! he also is the NBA's all time Losing(est) coach. More losses than anyone. He disowns players, benches his good players without explanation and already was quoted as saying so and so didn't work that hard for me before. Already called a player out in the media. DON"T HIRE NELSON. He doesn't communicate with players!!!!!
