Get all of our personnel out of Iraq and Afghanistan immediately. Those two cesspools of humanity are not worth one more American life or one more American dollar. Let's take care of much more urgent matters within our own borders.

There was never a reason to go to Iraq and now that we did what the mission in Afghanistan was supposed to be until Bush messed up (DA), it is time to leave there also. Bush lied 4,000 Americans Died.

It's long since time to change our antiquated way of conducting warfare. In this day and age of guerilla strikes, suicide bombs, and dirty tactics, we don't need troops as much as we need to utilize spies, intelligence, and machines. It might be unsavory to consider pre-emptive strikes based on solid intelligence, but the cost in lives and money by establishing bases in foreign nations is simply unacceptable, and doesn't work these days.

Bradley Manning had high level contacts with the White House before his arrest. Strong evidence that Julian Assange did not know Manning when Manning released the information to Assange. All breaking news at Salon.

After throwing trillion's of dollars down a rat hole, building military bases and the palace like (Bush-Cheney) U.S. Embassy in Baghdad I don't think we are going anywhere soon. We might see a drawdown in troops, but we will continue to have a military presence in Irag for many, many years to come.....all because of a war based on outright lies by G.W. Bush and his minions........sad, but true!

Obama is "privately" telling Iraq he wants to stay? How about "publicly" telling us. Hope and absolutely no change.
