The final "Harry Potter" has plenty of action, but what makes it a classic is the novelistic heft of its memorable characters.

12 hours and 3 minutes from now, my family and I will be sitting down in a packed theater to watch it all come to a close. Started watching when my son was just a boy. He'll be 21 at midnight. Bittersweet...

Very excited! I avoided the books when they came out... didn't want to jump on the craze-wagon. But I saw my friend had the books a few years back, and I asked how they were... she just gave me a look like, 'you have no idea!' I've been hooked ever since. :D

I liked the first episode, particularly the portrayal of his adoptive parents--with him living under the stairs.

Just saw the movie....and as a mild fan who more enjoyed watching these movies with and through my kids, I thought this final chapter was spectacular. A truly beautiful, thrilling and amazing movie. The best movie I've seen in years.

As someone who watched all of the movies, my own children growing up alongside the actors, I was underwhelmed by this last movie. It had a few great parts (Maggie Smith's spellcasting giggle, Alan Rickman's flashback scenes and the resurrection stone scene) but otherwise, I expected more from this last film. I expect I'll see it at least twice more in the theater and perhaps my mind will change. But right now, all I have to say is, "That was IT?"
