Souhan: Kelly speaks the truth in the booth; Beasley? Not so sure

We applaud the work of the former Twins manager as an analyst but shrug at the missteps of other sports figures.

Cute--start off criticizing commentators who are too homerish, then later on invent a Derek Jeter vs Paul Molitor contest to spend 2 paragraphs gushing about Molitor.

Olly go find Sven in the Sven and olly jokes. Paul Molitor is #9 on the all-time hits list. If anyone wants to compare Moiltor and jeter, Molitor wins the discussion 100% of the time. I like Tom Kelly on the radio, he's fantastic with insight and knowledge.

youdontknowit123--see, I can make stupid jokes about peoples' names, too. The only people who want to compare Molitor with Jeter are people desperate to invent such a contest so they can feel good despite their home club not being able to defeat Jeter in the postseason.

Aren't you the same guy who wanted to get rid of Perkins for his attitude. Moral of the story, if they have skills, tell them to use them and stop pouting.

If FSN does not offer a contract to Tom Kelly right now, not tomorrow, right now, every executive should be fired. I made a point to watch the games because he was on and was not dissapointed he was great!!! He joked and the jokes were funny, he had hard core analaysis. It was awesome. KEEP TOM KELLY!!!!!!!

Tom Kelly did a great job as a commentator. Glad to see he hasn't lost a step with his baseball IQ. An occasional fill-in or post-game analysis from him would be great. Now if only FSN would wisk away Robby Incmikoski elsewhere....

As far as Beasley goes, there was no surprise there. Showing that he hasn't really changed from his troubled past makes the decision about Derrick William's playing minutes a little easier. Next time, take a page out of Berrian's or AP's book and only break one law at a time.

The last 73 games watchable?!? You mean to find who can win the worst division in baseball and then go 0-3 in the playoffs...ummm...if you say so.

I've enjoyed listening to Kelly. Mix him in with Bert a little more than just occasionally and I'll be a regular viewer.

When I watch the Twins on TV I tun the sound off because I cannot stand Bremer. The man wets his pants everytime the Twins get a hit and it is obvious his getting excited is not genuine. Replace this annoying loser with TK!!!
