Arne Carlson does not make this group bi-partisan. His public support for a third party candidate with no chance makes him directly responsible for the shutdown. Dayton is an unstable hobbyist out to waste his grandfather's fortune (and his childrens' inheritance) on self-aggrandization, leaving a mile-wide path of destruction in his wake. What we need is a recall - or an impeachment.

Just found out that Dayton has deemed essential his personal chef and butler/maid!! it's good to be the king...but all you little people, worry not, he's got your back because he knows what it's like to be poor...uh wait a minute.

What part of "no tax increases" do these people not understand?

This was Carlson's and Mondale's plan.... come up with an absurd plan to make Dayton's awful plan look palatable. Fail.

"Fitch Ratings downgraded the state's creditworthiness, saying the shutdown, years of bickering and deals filled with budget shifts and gimmicks have made Minnesota a greater credit risk." Well, Mr. Pawlenty - the state's credit rating is downgraded due to the budget shifts and gimmicks you engineered so you could claim (falsely) that you never raised taxes and that you left Minnesota with a balanced budget. The irony is that you are trailing Michelle Bachmann in the polls.

This proposal makes more sense than anything either side has recently offered, although I would like to see a tax hike on those earning high incomes (maybe $500k+). I think it is worth it to live in a state with excellent public education and recreational amenities. You know, I sure like using the boat launches, hunting on public lands, and sending my kids to the U. Plus, I think trickle down is hogwash;at least it was when I operated my businesses.

Perhaps a recall of the newly elected freshman republicans is in order. You know, the ones that don't know the meaning of compromise.
