"And now to kick his feet up and rake in the millions while tuition hikes keep thousands out of college!" ******** Except for some who get it for FREE at the expense of others. My daughter went to college in North Carolina and got a great eduction. The U of M was too expensive!

Good luck Mr. Kaler. I trust that you will make every effort to cut out the fat within an organization that sad to say, has become a bloated monster. As an alumnai, I am disappointed in what the U has become, and I hope that you can bring it back to being a fine institution of higher education.

Another overpaid, under-worked University administrator who has probably spent little to none of his life working in the private sector is now head of the giant money pit that is the University of Minnesota. Yeah, you better build some more buildings. The U needs more buildings sucking up taxpayer dollars that sit empty 95% of the time. I graduated from the U in the 1990s. I go back every few years and each time I am amazed at how such a cash-strapped organization can keep building new buildings and spending tens or hundreds of millions remodeling old buildings.
