Minnesota Zoo wants to open before the penguins exhibit debut.

who needs a zoo anyway? Let's do a line item vote on what we should be taxed on: The zoo would go second, the stadium first. Then disband the legislature and the gov -- how many laws do we need anyway? Really?

Those of us who paid $110 for a years membership to use THIS summer when we have the good fortune to have off and spend it with our kids. That is who, not the rich who leave the state for vacations, etc, but the middle class who buy memberships for the Zoo and the MN Historical Society (which also happens to be closed because of this ridiculous shutdown).....that is who. We like the Zoo AND the Historical sites for that matter, what are they going to do about our memberships, extend them, no way we're just out until they open back up. On their terms, which sucks!
