Please from groups seeking funding. Hey-I have an idea, why don't you get off the government dime and you don't have to worry about it so much!

there are other means to raise revenue Governor Dayton. try open gambling, racino, cutting state funded benefits to the illegals. A cut here and there reduces that deficit bucket in a hurry. We don't need any more tax increases.

Some of the things cut have no right being the responsbility of the government. Lottery, Canterbury and Zoo to name a few. Maybe people losing their subsidised daycare will be a little more thankful for what they have recieved. Other agencies with cuts should go the voluteer route. We can do with less government.

It's pretty simple: DON'T spend more than you take in. The Repubs gave Dayton a huge increase in spending (which they shouldn't have done) and yet Dayton wants to spend even MORE. This is what happens when voters foolishly elect tax-and-spend liberals like Dayton.

The stuff mentioned in this article is NOT a Minnesota State essential function. While I symathize with their stories the fact is the State cannot afford to be as generous as they have been in the past. Government cannot solve all issues.
