Check the team's place in the standings after the next 10 games. Their spot will be an indication if they will add or subtract players.

Whatever they do, the Fantasy Leaguers will maintain it was the wrong thing, and Gardenhire is at fault. So save some bandwidth boys, I've already done your complaining for you.

I agree with the notion of sell or buy. However, we do have home head:head match-ups with KC, CLE, and the Tigers right after the All Star break which will obviously be more decisive in whether or now the Twins will be sellers or buyers. Consequently, unless we lose considerable ground in the division in the home series with the Brewers and Rays, I'd hold off until 8/24/2011 before flipping the switch in either direction.

AL Central is very weak and Twins have as good a chance as anyone to win it. Possible to play .500 ball and win AL Central this season. So it is much too early to make quick decisions. But for the future, the best thing they could do would be to somehow get Mauer temporarily looking super human and then trade him to Yankees, Red Sox or Cubs. --- someone with foolish payroll. Paying him over 25% of their total payroll will forever be the kiss of death for Twins future. He obviously is no Kirby Puckett nor even a Torii Hunter.

Might as well keep Cuddyer, Capps, and Kubel, but Nathan, Slowey, and Thome are definitely expendable. Not ready to give up on the team, we just had two bad months. Hopefully they are looking to upgrade the team, and not have a fire sale.

Twins have traditionally been sellers. Its cheaper that way. They don't really like to buy or pay for any pitchers. The get their arms on the cheap and hope they turn out. If they don't no big contract. The owners can afford to spend more than the Yankees they have more money than those owners. They never come close.

It really doesn't matter...people keep shelling out money to watch AAA team/manager. Why would they need to do anything.

Why sell??? Buy !! They did not get a new must needed ballpark to roll over and play dead!! Dismantle the team and build for the future?? The future is now. This sell stuff should have died when the ballpark opened and revenue went through the roof. If they can't decide to buy or sell then open the books and show the fans exactly how much money they are making. The Twins have made plenty of money and there is no excuse to not make the moves to make a serious run for a championship. I don't care how far behind they are, it can be made up if they try like they promised they would. Funny how it changes after just one year.

I would miss Thome if he got dealt, but he deserves to be on a winning team and you can bet I will be cheering him on to his long overdue ring

I'd say sell, but Billy Boy will get fleeced in any deal he attempts to make. I wish the Pohlads would fire him and hire a decent GM. The team would not be in the situation it's in with someone who could at least perform at a non brain dead level.
