I think that Fletcher has done a decent job of adding new prospects. The burns trade in my opinion was highway robbery. Burns is great when he is on, problem is that is very rare, injuries, concussions have hindered him. I like Setoguci, the guy can score and he is young, Coyle is going to be a stud and was the key to this deal, Zack Phillips is just gravy. The Barker trade sucked, at least he is admitting that by getting rid of this guy, Doug Riseborough would have held on to the bitter end. They are 2-3 years from having a decent squad, they will be miserable this year and add one more top ten pick. This is the first time I actually feel like they have something positive happening. I am excited for the future!

I'm a fan of Theodore, however if the Wild want to get younger, why wouldn't Harding be their first choice. Is it because he would need a long term deal? I'd think in his situation Harding could come cheap.

like Theodore, but I'm sure he gets his starting spot somewhere. Harding is looking to redeem himself, he'll come cheap. Bob Barker, well the price was not right at all, should have to return some cash for the lack of effort, here's a tip Bob Barker, you are supposed to hit the opposing players, drill them into the boards, you dont fondle them and watch them score.

Well I hope Gush won't be jinxed by the #10.

What ever happened to the more detailed explanation of O'Sullivan's departure Russo was going to provide the "next" day?

Madden is 1st class all the way and a huge example of what it takes to be an NHL grinder, just like Nolan and Brunette. BUT.....it is time for the Wild to move into the next phase. As much as those older guys were/are appreciated, it takes the strength and speed of the younger players to go through a whole season and maybe even some playoff games. Here's to the very best to those guys if/when they play this coming season and best of luck to the Wild in replacing these class acts.

I like madden but I liked nolan even more, wish the wild would have kept him last year. I still defend the barker leddy trade, johnnson was way too much money, thanks doug. Barker was a number 3 overall and leddy was a few years out from being nhl ready and the gophers were horrendous and wasn't helping him. barker is salvagable though, buy him back cheap and give him a year in houston basically do or die, barker has great potential, and great job with burns, he was too inconsistant too pay 5 mil a year for

Iceminn, Russo did have something about that a few days ago. The Wild feared tht O'Sullivan would win a one way contract in arbitration. The thought that the Wild feel he would be cheaper and could be had on a two way contract in free agency. I hate to see him go. I think with a good coach he become a good player.

@baddoggie: backup goaltender is probably one of the roster spots on the team where getting younger doesn't matter as much
