Didn't know Backstrom had a girlfriend. Nice!!! At 6 million a year he should have one by now. Good luck to Brunette wherever he goes. One of the all-time Wild greats. Hopefully more greats to come.

Wish there was a way to get Bruno on FSN team to replace Greenlay, Gorg, LaPanta, Chorske, Gelner, or any others. Good luck where ever it takes ya Bruno! Thanks for the effort, class, and memories!

I hope that the "Wild insider" is correct, that the 'Plan' is finally clear, because it sounds like the Wild are doing a fine imitation of the T-Wolves.

Sure wish we could keep Bruno around here...bet he'd be great with the young players we've got coming ...Best of luck to you Bruno..enjoyed you!!!!

What a miserable trade for the Wild. Barker absolutely brutal and I'm watching Leddy play for the Hwaks in the playoffs. C'mon Chucky we gotta do better.

10cuplemaire: I agree. Sign Brunette up as an analyst and dump Terhar for Clay Matvick!

hammersteinJun. 29, 11 9:04 AM

By the way, Leddy's God-awful play the, last half of the season and playoffs, made the Barker trade seen much less disgusting. Nick will be a decent offensive defenseman, but his play in his own end is Skoula-like and he he seems terrified of physical contact.

c'mon, on paper this was a good trade. dump a huge contract, get a young guy player with nhl experience for a prospect - no one (except maybe the hawks) knew barker was such an unmotivated dud. i think CF has done everything right so far this summer and there are going to be some interesting FAs out there.

Uh-Oh, Zidlitchky, Schultz, Zanon could be joined by Spurgeon, Stoner & Scandella, with Prosser and Falk competing for spots. That's their plan on defense? Will someone explain to me how this will be better than the last 2 years? Is one or two of these guys gonna suddenly become all-star caliber? This seems to me a hope and a prayer approach. Wild fans had better hope and pray that Yeo is a miracle worker. I'm not excited about this team at all.
