This is refreshing and great news! Congrats to the football team... keep it up!!! Coach Kill is already changing the culture for the better and much more quickly then anyone could have imagined. This is a sign of the success that is coming on the field and perhaps more quickly than we might otherwise expect. GO GOPHERS!

i sense a holtz-like turnaround without the cheating and bs.

I for one have always believed that, despite appearances at a handful of prominent NCAA football schools, this is and should remain a student-athlete endeavor. Which means, keep up the grades (and hopefully, even graduate which should follow if the grades are kept up). So congratulations on this positive news. Now, a few wins this coming year, maybe a .500 record in a couple-three years, who knows?

"you've got to worry about the ones that want to be here"--a refreshing comment from a coach who seems to know where he wants to take the program, as opposed to letting the program drift to wherever the "talent" the super-recruiter could lock-in. What we ended up with was a line that couldn't run-block, or protect the passer, and a defense that featured the walk-ons.

Really look forward to seeing what this team can do in 2011. Gray should catch fire and become a major name accross the NCAA and will bring good attention to the Program. This kind of information, surging team GPA, lets me know that the Program is getting ready for its stagetime and accompanying scrutiny.

I'm just scared that he'll get this program turned around and some other school will hire him away. I think we have the right coach and he will be successful here (for a change). Go Gophers!

Mason set an all-time record team GPA... Browbeater Brew drove the program into the ground in every faucet of the game. It's no wonder he is still unemployed.

Nomorebrew: wasn't Mason the coach when the team had the worst graduation rate in all of DI football? That was about 2006.
