That was indeed a good series and well worth the award. But has the paper's circulation sunk to the point that it is no-longer a large-size newspaper and the award was for the "medium-size" newspaper category?

That was good reporting, and an award well-deserved. However, did the series cause anything to be changed? Has the state changed the debtor laws?

DufferH - This paper would never have been considered large in the first place. Try getting out of the 5 state area sometime, there's a "larger" world out there.

Naseth: You obviously don't have any knowledge of what you're talking about. Just a few years ago, it was among the largest 15 papers in the nation. The Sunday paper at one time ranked 11th. In the past in newspaper contests, the paper has always been in the large-newspaper category.

Good series, but to report a "news story" to congratulate yourselves was tacky, Star Tribune. "Hey look what we did!" Let others report it for you if it is indeed newsworthy.
