Taylor Mazur has learned a lot working on his “Citizenship in the Nation” merit badge, including how to wait for politicians. Taylor (top) broke out laughing while waiting for Sen. Al Franken to arrive for a meeting with some aspiring Eagle Scouts from St. Paul’s East Side. They asked Franken about his job and national issues—and got some practice facing the media. When Franken told the Scouts to smile for the “paparazzi,” one Scout chimed in, “You mean our moms.” Enjoying the moment with Franken were, left to right, Tristen Lorsung, Charles Horttor, Ignatius Boet and Taylor, in front.
