Get Mauer out from behind the plate and play him at 1B. All these errors are killing us. guys kicking the ball around in the outfield, infield, at catcher. We are almost last in defense, which is not Twins baseball. Tom Kelly where are you? Holy shorts people!!!

The photographer that "captured" Butera's pain for this report, captured the average Twins fan's pain of have too watch some of the play this year that is mixed in with "moments of greatness!" Where's my dramamine?? Alkezeltzer? Brown Bag with eye holes?

This could be called a rebound year. Just keep being a thorn in the side of the Chicago White Sox, and I'll be happy. Twins are snake-bit this year, no doubt.

Yep, already back to the "bad old days." I suppose it was only a matter of time before we returned to the "who's turn is it to screw up" mentality that's plagued the first half so far. Cripes, this is painful to watch. Go Lynx.

pavano is a goodguy.

The Twins need to put Mauer and Nishioka back on the bench and go with the lineup that was winnng. We need winners, not whiners.

The Twins right now are a totally dysfunctional organization from the field to the front offices. This charade of their season was destined to happen, even before they broke spring training. They had no back-up or contingency plan for any of situations they have been confronted with. They are a complete dysfunctional team managed by an inept dysfunctional manager, who's boss is a complete dysfunctional joke of a general manager. This sounds pretty harsh; but it's reality. This meltdown isn't anything new; it's been been "brewing" for quite a while. Every single team has injuries and adversities during the course of the season; the Twins however had/have no plan on how to deal with them except field a team of wannabees and coach the manager on how to address the media after each and every loss. The boys really got after it alright.

I think Mauer needs one more day of rest, he must be getting worn out.

As repeatedly noted, the Twins are indeed "snake-bitten" in addition to the fact that the talent level is significantly depressing! The Mauer/Morneau drama has been accompanied by almost every other imaginable kind of train-wreck. Not many signs of hope, are there!? Oh well, the games still have to be played on the field before we get to comment on the obvious -- talk about a scary scenario for baseball fans in the upper midwest!

@key2win- While playing various sports and having myself taken pucks, baseballs, racquet balls and the occasional incidental knee contact ahem- 'between the front pockets' as it were- I'm not sure that even the most ardent Twins fan felt Butera's pain. Man, what a warrior!
