What a truely wonderful story!
That is so special. I have seen many eagles up in the Lake Vermilion and Kabetogema-Namikan area, but this one looks huge!! Awesome that he picked the tombstone of a well respected veteran.
Absolutely the best.
This is truly an amazing photo and what a wonderful story. This picture belongs on the cover of Time magazine! Hope this is entered into photo contests, it will win hands down! God Bless America and all our service men and women!
An awesome photo and well respected veteran. As a previous commenter stated, this belongs in a photo contest. I am surprised that this has not gone viral on the internet as less significant photos and videos have.
Thank you for making my day and starting the week with this.
This is such a wonderful story, thankyou to those responsible. I have been watching and living the Eagle Cam from Decorah. I have a new found love for this bird. It is so much more then symbolism. In watching this wonderful bird raise their babies with gentleness and what seems like love, I felt we are so lucky to be able to see into the life of something tHat was unknown. We are truely blessed and now know why they are so revered.
I wish we could get more uplifting stories like this in the news. I know some people will say, "This isn't news!" but it is. Thank you to the photographer and all who helped him, and to the writer for sharing this story!
Great story John and even a better picture.
IS THERE HOPE FOR THIS NATION YET?
