So it took all this time for the boys at the top to realize we needed to replace what they already had in the first place? Brilliant.

Willing to add payroll for bullpen help. Hmm...how many people did we have on our team who that description during the last off-season? Four? Five? Imagine where we'd be if we'd even kept one or two of those guys. They were all relatively competent in the 7th/8th innings. Waiting another day on Thome. I'll say what I said last night...if Mauer is as healed as the Twins are saying, there is NO REASON to keep TWO backup catchers who can't hit on the roster. If it's so essential that they're delaying the return of our Big Man, then Mauer needs to find a new position to play!

You gotta be a sucker to think the Twins have a chance at the Central title. Just like Lucy sets up good ol Charlie Brown every year then yanks the football away. Gardenhire has totally screwed this team up. He has no idea who the best players are. The starting pitching is poor and the pen is worse. This team can't score. Other than that they are ok. FIRE GARDENHIRE and his lousy coaching cronies.

the pen would have some extra stability if duensing was left there in the first place.

"Twins will look at helping bullpen." ... Someone //coughbillsmithcough// might have thought to give the bullpen a looksee about 6 months ago, and this team might be sitting at something around .500 right now.

Unless the "bullpen help" can also hit above .250 and/or knock a few out of the park, WHY would the Twins make this a priority? The bullpen has been rock solid lately; in fact, the only times the Twins have lost at all in the past month is when the bats have gone completely cold (scoring just 7 runs in the 5 losses this month).

Funny, the fans, the media, and everyone else but the Twins organization knew that we needed relief help to start the season after we let our last yrs relief team all walk. Now, after the relief staff completely tanking the first half of the season, they are finally figuring out that we need relief help. Why are the fans and the media smarter than the team? Who are all suppose to be the lifetime professionals and know more than us? Mr. Pohlad, I'll help you with decisions for free.

As a Twins fan living in San Diego, I would love a trade for Adams but I seriously doubt they'd trade him before Heath Bell. From what I hear and read, most believe Adams would be a better closer than Bell, but it is Bell's job to lose and he hasn't done anything to warrant a change. If had a nickel for every time I heard/read "if Capps gets you Ramos, then Bell should get at least ___," I'd be richer...probably only a couple dollars richer though.

So Joe wanted to face Lincecum....why would that be? Do you really think you could hit him, Joe?? How many ways can you find to embarrass yourself! Truth be told, I bet JoJo asked for the day off - he must be getting close to having everything on his list of boo-boos crossed off.

"The bullpen has been rock solid lately" It only looks that way because they've barely had to pitch.
