Armed with their highest draft pick ever, the Timberwolves nonetheless seem intent on trading the No. 2 pick in Thursday night's NBA draft.

Why wasn't Rubio's fellow countryman Marc Gasol mentioned? Do we have no chance at all at getting this unrestricted free agent? I read where the Knicks have targeted him but we have an owner (Glen Taylor) with some cash too. Couldn't Marc have an interest with playing hoops with Ricky? We don't give up our 2nd pick in the draft this way either.

Wow I can't even imagine trading that pick. T-wolves will do it and stay in the celler. You need pure talent a star and williams gives it to you.

Wait, I'm pretty sure that I've read repeated articles over the past few weeks that said the Wolves have decided to keep the 2nd pick despite initially exploring trades. How do they all of a sudden "seem intent on trading the No. 2 pick"?

Smartest thing for Cleveland to do would be to take Williams and then force the Wolves to trade Irving for the 4th pick and something else and then just take Kanter with the 4th.

note to wovles: just take williams. please. just take him. don't screw this up. a trade for bynum is ridiculous for the WOLVES! my 2 year old nephew is more mature and doesn't get hurt as much. williams is who we need. don't screw this draft up. please.

I like the trade rumors for Hibbert and/or Bucks center...other than that we can run very athletic with 2 good small forwards....Dont trade Beasley.

Keep the draft pick, let him compete for minutes against existing players, and trade the one who comes up short. Two things the Wolves need is (1) talent, and (2) asset value for subsequent trades if necessary. Asset value as determined by the other teams, and it's not Jimmer.

Whats all the talk about trading Irving if he falls to #2? Isn't point guard what we need? I hope he works out, but Rubio hasn't shown anything. We already have 3 forwards - Love, Beasly, and Randolph - who is becoming quite good. Wouldn't be surprised to see Kemba Walker go #3; he, in my opinion, is the best player in the draft.

Please Taylor Please pretty please get rid of Kahn. Please give us wolves fans at least a little hope of being a winner. Why don't you see what all of us see in Kahn. Mchale is a genius compared to Kahn.

If the Wolves trade their #2 pick, Derrick Williams will win ROY, guaranteed.
