Kahn says no to any Love or Rubio trade

Timberwolves boss David Kahn wanted to make three things clear on Tuesday. He's not trading Kevin Love. He's not trading Ricky Rubio. And he hasn't decided the future of coach Kurt Rambis yet.

I just want Kahn B. Gone to be comfortable. There is absolutely no need to have a head coach involved with the draft, absolutely positively none. Kahn is in charge. What more is there, really?

Trade the 2nd and 20th picks to Utah for the 3rd and 12th picks, let them have Williams at 2, and we take Enes Kantor 3rd and move up our only other pick so we can get a good bench player.

Muneraven30, that sounds good but Kanter is considered a much bigger risk than Irving or Williams. I'd worry about coming out of that trade with one good bench player and Darko II.

I personally don't think Rubio will be much of a nba player. He has a few trick passes and that's about it. I would consider trading him and package Flynn and maybe a draft pick and see if Houston would give up Kevin Martin or if the Warriors would give up Monta Ellis. Either of them would be a nice additon as a shooting guard and then you would have Beasley and Love at forwards then go after Nash for your point guard. Guarantee you would win 40+ games if they played some defense.

David Kahn is beyond pathetic. The wolves are not a veteran center away from being a contender. There’s such a dearth of talent that they can’t even hope to be a .500 team. Kahn should draft the most talented person at the No. 2 slot: Derrick Williams. And then follow it up by firing himself…

shilo, i like your creative thinking, but a lineup of nash, ellis, beasley, love, and milicic would be a recipie for defensive disaster. besides milicic, who shows some flashes of d, all the other players in this lineup are more porous than swiss cheese on d. we'd have an offense to reckon with, but what is it that they say wins championships?

nash would be okay for the right price and a short contract to mentor rubio (as a vet qb could mentor ponder). but the key is a short contract (2 years max) and not breaking the bank for him. but the question is why would nash come here? he's made his millions, won his mvps. just needs a championship for the whole package. i don't see him coming here.

rubio, johnson, williams, love, milicic. that should be our starting 5 next year. good enough only for about 30 wins, but the potential is there. we'd be a stud swingman away from being a serious competitor.
