The one-time starter, now armed with a lively, 95-mph fastball, has embraced his bullpen role and become a trusted reliever for the Twins.

Lets hope he stays healthy and can keep his confidence (unlike Mijares!). I can't believe its possible to be in the running for the division come the All Star break, who would've guess given the terrible start to the season

Appears as if GP has grown up over the past couple of years. Nice to see the Twins stick with a guy, and have him start to prove himself.

And since Capps and Nathan are not exactly relable anymore, you may have the next MN Twins closer for about 1/5 the price of either of the other 2 for next year.

How awesome is that to possibly have a lefty AND, maybe, a righty closer. Hopefully Nathan doesn't have any long-term arm problems and is still just working the arm back to "normal". I'm not too sure that Capps has what Nathan did before - seems to get too many baserunners on. Could be Hoey next year too.

Have always liked Perkins, even thru his problems he had earlier. I am also happy the Twins never gave up on him and hopefully he can continue to impress.

great turnaround for perkins, too bad slowey isnt the same kind of "team player" we could use another reliable right hander in the pen. maybe gibson can come up and help out

I love redemption stories. (And I'm glad that both Perkins and the Twins are "man" enough that it could happen).
