This is a good move. The bycatch level by trawlers today is obscene and it should be regulated.

Too bad this is such a reactive measure. I've been watching the Bristol Bay king fishery go down the crapper for 10 years. At least they will now use the by-catch for food shelves and such. About time something is done. I'm just afraid it's too little too late for many of the state's fisheries. Long live the almighty big dollar that big industry has in politics of it all. It's sick.
