If they want "true" toll lanes then pay for everything. Stop stealing tax dollars that have been already used to build the lanes, then pay a pittance of that cost by your "fake" toll!! That is almost as big a rip off as private mortgage insurance!! (PMI)

So, the point of toll lanes is to provide people with money an incremental benefit that the majority of people can't afford? A little ironic that the "haves" don't like government programs, isn't it?

Remember when the State Patrol enforced the"do not cross double white lines" on these roads? Not anymore, even the squads don't obey it.

This hasn't reduce congestion at all in Burnsville. It still backs up to the split EVERYDAY(except Fridays). Unlike these yahoos I make the commute every day from lakeville to downtown Minneapolis so I know first hand. Throw in a state trooper on the shoulder and you've made the situation even more worse because of the additional gawker delay. More tax dollars wasted. And now they are building a sound barrier down here. Why when we have no money are we putting up a sound barrier on an interstate that is 60 years old. Waste waste waste

I love seeing car pool cheaters getting pulled over. Not only is the fine expensive but it counts as a moving violation which drives up their insurance rates. Is the few minute 'reward' worth years of increased insurance costs?

I understand the desire to improve the flow of traffic, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. On 394, the only beneficiary is the 100 or so people who pay to use the toll lane - the rest of the lanes are always jammed at rush hour. For $2 million/year in operating costs and tens of million$ to construct, how does this make any sense? How about we return 394 to 3 lanes and see the traffic improve when everyone can use it - like it used to be before this worthless system was implemented!

Des moines has more lanes than Minneapolis, but about the quarter of the population. I guess those Iowa jokes aren't that funny when we're sitting in traffic

Your assuming that the offenders have insurance. If they don't, well then us that do pay for the ones that don't. Seems fair.
