Brent Burns for Zach Parise anyone? Both fit each teams respective needs and are relatively the same age, have had some serious injuries and have dubious contract situations with their respective clubs.

Burbs- Parise likely won't be traded right now as he just filed for arbitration. Plus it would take more than just Burns to get him. Credible- Philly just traded a 1st for Versteeg, do you think they would want a 2nd for him now? Plus the Wild don't have a 2nd this year. Philly doesn't really need d-men anyways so I doubt they would be desperate for Burns.

I like Parise, but at 5 mil a year, pretty steep. what about UFA Patrick Eaves? 750,000 in salary. We do need more great skating guys(speed). UFA Ben Eager @ 965,000? Ryan Carter? 625,000. Erik Cole? @ 2.9mil, 26g,26a.. The UFA list is huge! there's a lot of players out there.. Burns to Rangers for Derek Stepan? I'd love to see a stepan, zucker, granlund line! Zucker and Stepan played together for team USA.

puckluck77 - The Wild pay Koivu $6.75M a year, and you would not offer Parise $5M a year? Over the past 5 years prior to last year Parise played 81 or 82 games a year, so he is durable. He'll be 27 this Summer, so he still has plenty of years left. Also, over the past 2 years prior to this past season, he had 94 and 82 points. This blows Koivu's durability and production right out of the water! I also agree with mikkowellman that it would take more than Burns to get him.

I not a Koivu apologist thats for sure. I remember seeing him standing there while Kim Johnsson got sucker punched, and he didnt do a thing.... I was the guy who suggested a straight trade: Koivu for Byfuglien. cuz buff is a gamechanger.. and makes LESS salary. I'd like to see Parise here if they have 5mil around to pay him.. but the Wild are going to need a lot more then Parise to get this team into STANLEY CUP contention.. I'm all for the Wild getting any guys with a MN or WCHA connection.. Ex-Wild player's I would bring back.. Pascal Dupuis & Joel Ward...

Never trade Burnsy. If the kid from Montreal can't play go get ryan Malone. He is a big strong two way player. He could be the next Kessler for MN Wild.

Listening to Lou Nanne on the radio yesterday afternoon he pretty much said Praise doesn't want to come to MN. Not because he wouldn't want to play here but he would rather go to a team that is closer to being a contender.

Trade Burns to CBJ for Ryan Johansen. This kid is the blue chip, big-bodied Center that the Wild need!

Ville Leino would be my pick for an FA to go after. He would be a great replacement for Miettenen.
