If this was New York, the man in the Legends Club would not have been booing alone, but this is Minnesota. At least he got a hit his first time up, because the bases loaded out was kind of a bummer (and a little too familiar)

Wow Patrick, I love the Twins but get off the kool-aid. Mauer went 1 for 4 on a dribbler up the middle. I too want to believe Mauer will be the Mauer of yester year, but I have to see more, not just one game.

Geez, Pat, cut the guy some slack! He probably just had to have George Brett style hemorrhoid surgey, and is a bit too 'aww, shuck's' to want to discuss his ass problems in public. Didn't Brett miss a couple weeks of spring training? I'd bet on a significantly longer recovery if you are going to be constantly squatting - which is probably what caused the problem in the first place...

I was at the game and booed him. I was pretty blown away that people forgive so easily. He made $30,000 for every slow roller to short he hit tonight. Mauer's contract is going to cripple this team for years to come.

I buy tickets and not everyone was standing for the ovation. I don't go to Twins games to watch Mauer. I go because the Twins are representing the state of MN. No one on this team was ready for the season and now they are in last place-exactly what they earned.

Thankfully we don't run things based on the basis of talk radio and e-mail commentators. Heaven forbid if we didn't have to create drama for everything. Could it be folks just went to a ballgame to enjoy the ballgame?

Most people have no idea that he didn't rehab from Dec-Feb Nor do they care. I watched the game at Lifetime EP and people were stunned that I implied that he's soft and ... Good Scam Joe. The Twins have got to put up with "the inmate running the prison for 8 more years and $183M. This is a good lesson.

tnormanJun. 17, 1111:03 PM

Guppy, We could have used the $183M on some good players who have heart and care and you can trust ........ That would not be Joe-Dough!

I was in the Legends club tonight as well. You may have seen me, I was wearing the mauer bp jersey with spongebob squarepants band-aids over the #7, with a cut out bag of ice taped on the top? All I know is that I had 2 guys get a picture of it, and countless folks (including one twins employee!) who stopped me to comment on how awesome it was. Even the folks sitting on both sides of me thought it was awesome. Then, like clockwork, all the lemmings stood and cheered.

Please .... Somebody ..... Anybody tell me why Alex "Blown Hold" Burnett is still a member of this team?? Someone displaying absolute genius sends James, a guy with a 2.3 ERA since being called up back to Rochester, while keeping Burnett, a guy with a 7.00 ERA and climbing. Burnett & Mijares are probably #1 and #2 in all of baseball in blown holds & blown games. Mijares is a lefty, so we're stuck with him, but we have tons of other options instead of Burnett. Pleeeeeeeaaasse! Just release this clown and bring back James for the rest of the season ...... I'm begging you!!!
