Most 10 megapixel cameras over $150 are far better at taking pictures than their owners. Anything in the top half of Consumers Reports choices should do. As a pro, I think the commonest problem, despite "antishake" is that the camera is not held steady. Try to rest your camera on something immobile if not a tripod. If not, the hands should be braced, and the shutter slowly squeezed as you hold your breath. Good luck.
