The gig is up for those of you who are taking freebies off the backs of hard working Minnesotans. It is time for some personal accountability and getting off the dole.

GOP offers $200M tax cut against $1.8B gap. How about throwing dimes against the wall and expecting Dayton to dive after them? GOP PR machine on this one: major FAIL.

Hey, Republicans! Those of us who are unemployed are waiting for all of those new jobs that you folks PROMISED. Remember, you were elected because you claimed that was what you were going to do. Create Jobs! We can worry about Tax Cuts once everyone is working again.

Why in the world the 98% of the public that the Republicans are not trying to protect would ever vote for them again is beyond me! How can they seriously be trying to protect the richest 2% while letting us pick up the bills for them is crazy!! Thank you Governor Dayton for protecting the middle class!!!!

What is wrong with a cap on state spending? I have cut back on frivilious spending to afford the higher gas prices, food prices, etc. Everyone, including the government, needs to cut back and live within their means.

Why is it the Democrats can't understand that spending more and more of our hard earned money just can't be sustained? Taking the tax cuts off the table is a good thing. Dayton needs to get off his high horse and come to reality. My thoughts, shut it down. Saves us money overall. Let it be shut for however long it takes.

This "meet in the middle" BS is simply overdone. When you ask for the moon outright and then say let's meet in the middle, you are not fooling anybody. We are overspent. Live with $2 billion more and be satisified for once.
