The Microsoft one doesn't sound that out of the ordinary, especially when you consider their stock price has stagnated in the 20's for 10+ years now. Apple's stock price on the other hand in the past 10 years has increased 4000%, yes, that is four thousand percent.

I don't know where you get your information, but in terms of The Nerdery, User Experience (UX) is not a programming term. It has nothing to do with programming at all.

Microsoft is thinking smart: if you make healthy habits accessible and affordable, you cut down on healthcare needs. Likewise, if you remove out-of-pocket cost from the preventive medical equation, small issues are more likely to be addressed early, before they become large (expensive) problems. If only more employers understood this, and the economic climate promoted it, we would be halfway out of the healthcare hole we're in.
