I wouldn't call this a flash mob. These people did not gather to perform something. Sounds like a party invitation went viral but they weren't a flash mob.

Yet another good reason NOT to join in on Facebook. I believe that a lot of people in the future will get seriously burned because they are involved in it. So, you are so concerned about your privacy? Why?

Its privacy problems aside, Facebook is the most useless invention ever to come from the mind of man. Zuckerberg should be thrown in jail for extreme stupidity.

This reporter obviously has no idea what a flash mob is. Not to mention, I think flash mobs went out of fashion like 2 years ago. And I am almost positive I read this exact same story about a girl in Australia last year with a birthday party.

uh...there were 1,500 people who would take time out of their lives they'll never get back to show up to a kids birthday party they didn't even know ? That is really pathetic.
