Thank goodness for the high unemployment that Obama has coordinated in conjunction with this to keep people off the roads during construction. He's a genius!

Whoever the DTS planner was who decided to tear up University, I94 and 36 at the same time really should be fired. Shows that you don't understand how traffic moves.

Suck it up and deal with it, folks. If we want the roads improved, we've got to deal with the downside of these improvements as well. Find an alternative route, find alternative transportation, alter your schedule if you can, just grin and bear it. Such is the price we pay when 90% of us want or need to drag 2 tons of steel with us on our daily commute each day.

Oh I somehow forgot everyone was entitled to a 70MPH commute in an urban area during rush hour. Whiners are out and about already.

The alternate routes are feeling the pinch due to this construction too. I have friends who drive 494 in Bloomington and they've seen 10-15 minutes added to their commute too, as drivers try to find a better way around. And on another note, I don't understand how someone can run out of gas...in the middle of an interstate...in the middle of a city. Seriously?!

"Now borderline nuts?" This suggests that 94 was an easy and free flowing thoroughfare before the construction. ha

We have the best interstate in the world. Deal with it.

I am all in favor of redoing roads and making improvements I just have one qustion: Why aren't we investing money in having the light rail put underground? I know it is more expensive and would take longer to finnish due to tunneling but I bet it wouldn't create as much traffic building it. New York has the subway underground and Paris had their metro underground. .isn't the logical way to be doing it underground?

Quit whining and be glad you have a road at all. Would it have been better to schedule this in January? THINK!
