As the lockout nears three months, Vikings players are spread throughout the country, some working out in groups, others letting their battered bodies heal.

I guess the lockout is good for one thing...fans are able to identify teams that have a 'Will to win' and back that up by getting prepared to take advantage of other teams once this is settled. It's unfortunate, but not surprising based on the team's performance last season, that the Vikings players are not among those who are willing to go above and beyond to win. Too bad Chilly isn't still around...we could blame this all on him!

Why not, they took a knee all last season.

Speaking of lockouts, and our old coach 12 men on the field, Chili, wonder what he is doing. He should be locked out of football for life, considering how he destroyed the once great franchise, the Minnesota Vikings.

One more comment, This time it is about owner of the Vikes Wilf. He is a multimillionare, and own the team, but that does not mean, that he is a good judge of coaches, or players. As hard as it may be to believe, I consider some fans, better educated than Wilf, as evidenced, when Wilf, extended Childress contract, after the 2009 season.

@bengraved - you are correct, Wilf is a major stooge who has no business whatsoever making personnel moves. When is this clueless moron going to hire a general manager???

I'm very disappointed in the players. Here we have an annual event building a playground for some local school or community center. It is my understanding that not one player showed up. I wouldn't expect a player that was living in a distant part of the country to come back for one day to help out. But there are six players that are in the area, and yet not one showed up to help. I guess the players don't care about anyone but themselves. Their actions prove the point.

viking53, What part of "Players and coaches cannot have any contact during the lockout" do you not understand?

Players and coaches can have contact during the lockout for pre-approved charity events. Someone at Winter Park wasn't doing his job to get this done.

I wish the Wilf's would take a knee in front of all us homers right after they give up their 51% ownership of the vikings on their way to prison for attempting welfare fraud in order to get a new stadium paid for by the Minnesota taxpayers!!!
