And guess what?! I don't care one bit. Don't want to see his face on the commercials & don't want to hear about him on the Strib.

Wow! June 2nd, and Mauer is ready to "try" three whole innings. What a trooper.

Relax everyone - this is the beginning of the end of Joe's season. The organization or Joe(not sure who's in charge) have decided to have him "try" catching a few innings. I'm sure if he's sore or it doesn't go well, we will get the big announcement that he's done for the season. And really, who cares at this point.

TRY REAL HARD, Joe.

My money is on him conveniently rejoining the team sometime on a long road trip rather than facing the music at home.

Don't overdo it there, big fella!

It will be interesting to see what this team looks like with everyone healthy. But we still are struggling out of the pen. Need a few better arms there.

If it wasn't for having to pay his 23mil. randsom, I couldn't care less if Mauer spent the summer selling cars. What makes anyone think that this team will ever be totally healthy??? Nowadays you get 2 weeks off for having a sore toe/hand/front/back/shin/butt/ear.
